Jose

Jose is from a small rural town in Peru. He was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer at 48. A few years ago, he had a life saving surgery that left him with an ostomy, and due to the limited number of hospitals and resources available, Jose will have an ostomy for life.

Jose left his job to receive treatment at a main hospital in Lima city. His income became very limited after his surgery. Most of the time, he cannot afford critical medical supplies like colostomy bags. It has become extremely hard for Jose to work and care for himself and his family.
